Inter-Livery Charity Clay Shoot – May 2025

Back to News

The annual Inter-Livery Charity Clay Shoot will be at The West London Shooting School on 14th – 15th May 2025.

The annual Inter-Livery Clay Shoot is one of the highlights of the City of London charity events, traditionally held in the second week of May. Since its inception in 1993 it has been hugely successful in raising funds for charities nominated by the winning teams and includes a donation to the Lord Mayor’s charity. It is attended by over 450 guns each year with teams of four representing over 55 Livery Companies.

This event is always a fantastic opportunity to catch up with and meet fellow Liverymen from other Companies, all in the name of charity. The majority of participants are from all walks of the shooting fraternity and merely enjoy the occasion, the venue and the quality of the sporting layout itself.

A host of disciplines are selected to enhance the enjoyment of the day with charity prizes being awarded to the winners of each one. This includes Top Team, Top Gun, Top S/S Team, Top S/S gun, Top Lady Shot, The Horners’ Past Masters’ Prize for the winning Court Team.

The Glorious 12th Team (the 12th team in the final order) is deemed the overall winner of the event and this means a random team gets the surprise of winning a large charity prize.

The Dyers’ traditionally fields two teams of four guns, and we are always looking to recruit Liverymen who have not shot with us before to join us seasoned regulars. Should you wish to participate, please contact Court Assistant, Ian Blair, igblair@btinternet.com.
