Seed Capital Investment Fund

The Dyers’ Company Seed Capital Investment Fund first launched in 2022.

We are pleased to launch our fourth Seed Capital Investment Fund application round. The deadline for applications is 25 March 2026.

We are offering initial investments of up to £25,000 per venture, supporting early-stage businesses and entrepreneurs ready to turn innovative concepts into thriving enterprises in the UK.

The fund is open to a wide range of sectors where colour plays a vital role, from colour chemistry and science to food technology, healthcare (including medical dyes), engineering, sustainable dyeing, and textile production for fashion and interiors, and beyond.

If your idea has colour at its core, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

Please apply by emailing communication@dyerscompany.com for an application form. The deadline for returning this is Wednesday 25th March.

Dozens of applicants apply each year, see some feedback from successful applicants below:

The Seed investment from The Dyers’ Company has been crucial to SAGES ongoing development. It has allowed us to acquire key pieces of equipment, which have in turn, allowed us to complete innovative R&D into the commercialisation of our dyes. The investment has acted as validation of our endeavours and has given us confidence in pursuing our goals of creating commercially viable dyes from food waste. We are very grateful for the support and are looking forward to continuing our relationship with the Company as our business grows.

Loom and Power is developing a new method for dyeing yarn which increases design freedom and has a lower carbon and water footprint. We were thrilled to be successful in securing seed funding from The Dyers' Company. This has been a real catalyst for our business and has enabled us to invest in equipment and materials to further develop our dyeing technology and accelerate our plans significantly. From here we hope to be generating our first sales utilising our technology within the next quarter, marking a significant milestone in our journey.

The Seed Capital Investment has allowed us to conclude a bio-material characterisation and technical performance benchmarking work package. We have also started compiling the necessary compliance registration documents to prepare for internationalisation. This connection has also opened new doors for us to attract further investments from other institutional investors and we see great potential going forward with the support from The Dyers' Company.
