The Dyers’ Company at Arnhem

It was a privilege for the Prime Warden and the Clerk to attend the annual memorial weekend commemorating the Battle of Arnhem, as guests of our affiliated regiment, 4th Battalion The Parachute Regiment (4 PARA).

The weekend provided a poignant opportunity to remember the courage and sacrifice of those who took part in Operation Market Garden, with commemorative events at Ginkel Heath and the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Oosterbeek.

The moving ceremonies also reflected the enduring gratitude of the Dutch people towards the Allied forces who fought to liberate them. The Dyers’ Company is extremely proud of its affiliation with 4 PARA and grateful to the Battalion for its warm hospitality throughout the weekend.
