Back to News2026 marks our #DyersIn55Objects campaign on Instagram, which celebrates the special 555th anniversary of our first Royal Charter in 1471.
To honour this milestone, we’ll be highlighting 55 historic treasures from our collection and showing one (or two) each week all year – we felt that gathering 555 objects was perhaps a bit too ambitious!
Since 1471 (notwithstanding the Great Fire) we have safeguarded a remarkable collection of treasures that embody the history, traditions, and generosity of generations of Livery members. These objects, some familiar, others rarely seen, offer vivid glimpses into our past. By telling the story of a single object at a time, we honour the generosity of our past Livery members whose gifts and bequests underpin our collection.
