Seed Capital Investment Fund launched for the third time
Back to NewsBuilding on the success of the inaugural and second-year rounds of our Seed Capital Investment Fund, The Dyers’ Company were pleased to launch the Seed Capital Investment Fund for a third year.
This initiative is designed to support innovation and the commercialisation of business ideas within the colouration industry.
The Dyers’ will consider initial equity investments of up to £25,000 per venture for fledgling businesses and entrepreneurs seeking to transform their innovative ideas into successful businesses. The initiative is relevant to a vast range of industries/activities with a connection to colour and colouration including colour chemistry and science, food technology, healthcare (e.g., medical dyes), engineering, sustainable dyeing, textiles production for fashion and interiors and more.
Over time it is hoped that this fund will enhance the development of colouration in the UK by the creation and ongoing support of new businesses, providing vital resources and mentoring for colour and colouration practitioners from across industries.
Recipients of the inaugural round of funding were SAGES London, a start-up transforming plant waste into sustainable dyes, while Post Carbon Lab, a biotech and textile-tech company turning carbon emissions into eco-friendly colours, dyes, and coatings, received funding in the second year.
