We are delighted to announce that Kassia St. Clair, acclaimed author and the U.K.’s best selling historian under 40, will be exploring the histories of five colours exclusively for our Alumni Club at Dyers’ Hall in November.

Our Alumni will learn about the green that could have killed Charles Dickens before he wrote A Tale of Two Cities; the molluscs that gave us royal purple; and the costly blue that entranced countless Renaissance artists, a black that absorbs 99.9% of the visible spectrum and our ongoing search for the perfect red.

Kassia St. Clair has sold hundreds of thousands of books globally and is best known for The Secret Lives of Colour. Her other books include Liberty: Design. Pattern. Colour., The Golden Thread and The Race to the Future.
